BioGaia: using design to inform customers and reach markets

BioGaia is a world-leading Swedish healthcare company developing, marketing and selling probiotic products with documented health benefits. It has more than 20 years’ experience and a global network of leading, independent researchers and specialists, in-house experts and commercial partners in over 70 markets worldwide.

Presenting global research and local information

BioGaia wanted a new site to give people easy access to clinical studies on one of the world’s most researched probiotics, Lactobacillus reuteri, so they can make informed decisions.

They also wanted to create local sites to offer events and products to local markets. Everything needed a fresh, modern feel to reflect the company’s core values and experience. 

The new design really lifted the functionality. This is a site we're proud of!

User-friendliness across separate sites

Wunderkraut designed and developed a site which helps users navigate BioGaia’s medical studies, products and distributors. There’s also an easy-to-use search function.

Seven separate countries already have their own sites, with more on the way. Drupal’s user-friendliness means local distributors can administer them themselves.

The separate sites are unified by the same look and feel. Duplication is simple and straightforward because the site is a distribution, built on one platform.

There’s a promo system to create more custom-made content on each specific site, and the NS Core ensures stability when it’s upgraded.
