I know I may be late on this one, but it hit me Friday night watching the news. The news report was about the helicopter that was shot down over Iraq and the apparent murder of the sole survivor. CNN showed the video, but then cut the picture but left the sound on as the innocent man was gunned down. CNN repeatedly said something to the effect that the scene was too gruesome to show.

Oh really?

Why is it ok to show pictures of dead U.S. serviceman being dragged through the streets (Somalia) or why is it ok to show U.S. civilian workers being killed, burned and strung up on a bridge? I want an answer.

I am afraid that the honest answer is that CNN does not really want to show the “real” people behind the “insurgents”. Then they could not root for them anymore.

Look, we are at war. We did not start this war, regardless of what anyone says. I want the American people to see the twin towers coming down, all the beheadings, this poor guy being killed in cold blood, and anything else that will motivate us to see this thing through. Yes, the images are shocking, but they do serve a purpose. The American people need to see that we are not fighting a normal army. We are fighting killers who kill because they claim their god says it is ok for them to kill. Actually, they say their god has mandated that all infidels (that’s us people) must convert or die. And you thought some Christians were intolerant. It does not matter if we leave Iraq or abandon Isreal or pull out of the entire Middle East or dismantle our military or give all our money to help the poor………These Bastards Want Us Dead. Why can’t the American people see that. These people will not stop when there is economic parity or anything else. They want the destruction of the West (again that is us people). They are at war with Western ideas. They seek nothing but the return of the good old days when they ruled most of the known world.

I think seeing the gruesome videos, I have seen the beheading ones on the internet, will finally wake up America and the world that we better take these guys seriously. They do not want an economic or political settlement. They want you and your family either worshiping their god or dead. They really do not care which it is.

The only way to stop it is to fight and and win.

If I am wrong, show me.
