You know your party is in trouble when The Washington Post has an editorial that puts forward one of your own as a model of compromise.

Says the Post:

Judiciary Committee Chairman Arlen Specter (R-Pa.) made clear in a Senate speech last week that the Republican leadership should not count on him to support the nuclear option. Mr. Specter declined to say how he would vote if ultimately forced, but he emphasized that at times “the fate of our system of government has rested on the ability of members of this body to transcend party loyalty for the national interest.” He added that “the Senate currently faces such a challenge.” Compromise may have become a dirty word to both camps. But a measure of political give-and- take would go a long way toward meeting the challenge Mr. Specter describes.

Ok let me get this straight: The Democrats have un-Constitutionally filibustered the Presidents judicial nominees for the first time in the entire existence of our country……..and the Republicans are supposed to compromise? Someone please explain that to me!

I said it before he was voted Chairman and I will say it again: Arlen Specter is an embarrassment to the Republicans. He is a RINO (Republican in name only) and should not be in charge of one of the most important committees in the Senate. If we are ever going to reverse the last 30 years of judicial activism, we have to do it now or it will be too late.

Hey Republicans! Grow some and vote for ending the un-Constitutional filibusters!

Great….now I have indigestion…….grrrrr!
