Look. I know we have the First Amendment and all, but come on…

A group from Islamic Thinkers Society protested the U.S. the other day by desecrating the U.S. flag and denouncing our government.

Desecrating the U.S. flag is a pretty crappy thing to do, BUT…it is a protected form of speech under our constitution. So go ahead and have your protest, you have that right because brave men died for the very flag you are desecrating. It becomes a circular argument at this point. If brave men had not died for that flag, then you would not have the freedom to protest. Without the freedom to protest, you would not be desecrating the flag. Imagine, if you can, if these same guys were Saudi’s who were pissed at the way their government was handling some situation. Now who wants to take bets on how quickly they would have been rounded up, imprisoned and possibly killed for denouncing their country and desecrating their flag? A little ironic, no?

BUT…that is not the point of this post…

There are many good sources on this, but The Jawa Report has some good between the lines reporting on this “peaceful” group and what they really believe. He got his quotes from the World Net Daily:

The five-minute piece begins with a man speaking in clear English: “Just to show where our loyalty belongs to — you see this flag here? It’s going to go on the floor [sic]. And to us, our loyalty does not belong to this flag, our loyalty belongs to Allah … .” …

Another speaker refers to the mandate for “Islam to dominate over all other religions, to dominate the world, even though the non-Muslims may hate it.” …

At one Al-Muhajiroun event at Queensborough Community College sponsored by the MSA and attended by WND, a Muhajiroun speaker working with Yousuf said, “We reject the U.N., reject America, reject all law and order. Don’t lobby Congress or protest because we don’t recognize Congress! The only relationship you should have with America is to topple it!”

Ok some people may think I am a brown shirted Nazi thug for what I am about to say: Why haven’t these guys been arrested yet? You have the right of free speech in this country. Hell, I will even let you burn my flag and call my president Hitler. However, freedom of speech does not give you the right to advocate the overthrow of the U.S. government.

That is treason and we just witnessed it. They are calling for the destruction and overthrow of the United States. How much more information do you need? Where are all the so called “moderate” Muslims in this country? Why haven’t you heard them all over the news saying that this bunch of whack jobs does not speak for Islam? Why? Maybe because there are no “moderate” Muslims…

Now I know some of you will tell me that you know many Muslims and they all believe in peace. Great. Where are they? Why aren’t they out protesting EVERYDAY about the nut cases here and in Iraq who have hijacked their religion?

I will leave you with one more quote:

In a private interview with WND, a Queens based Al-Muhajiroun leader said he would be “absolutely honored” to give up his life in a “martyr operation” against American civilians. The leader warned that “a jihad is coming to America because of the moves of the Bush administration.”

What is wrong with these people? And where is the FBI and the CIA? Arrest these freaks.

To my way of thinking (and I freely admit I’m in a minority here), it’s very enlightening to look at just what happened in New York. Here, a group of self-styled “Islamic Thinkers” (and what a delightful oxymoron that phrase is in their case) are committing an act that would be severely punished in the nations to whom they pledge their allegiance. And the police, who over there would be arresting and/or severely beating them, are standing by — not only not interfering with them, but making sure they are not interrupted.

Agreed.

The Coalition of The Swilling has a short post today comparing an attack on a Jewish synagogue to ripping a few pages of the Koran. Good point. Once again the religion of peace at work.

What struck me as hilarious was the statement of responsibility released by the terrorists who blew up the synagogue which states their demands:

1. They should release our prisoners who are in the American prisons, especially Guantanamo prisoners and the mujahid Sheikh Omar Abdul-Rahman, and those who are in the prisons of the followers of America: the Arabs, the non-Arabs, the Iranians, and the Jews.

2. They should stop their war on Islam and the Muslims throughout the world in the name of fighting terror.

3. [They should] purge all the lands of Islam and the Muslims from the dirt of the Jews and the Americans, including Al-Quds and Kashmir. [emphasis mine]

4. And that America would not interfere between us and the idolatrous governments that rule the Muslims, and that we establish a virtuous Islamic Caliphate state, God willing.

A little bit lofty goals eh? I mean, it is going to take some time to purge ALL Jews and Americans from the lands of Islam. You are going to have to give us some time.

More proof that you can not negotiate with these people *cough* Europe *cough*.

First they say they want us out of Saudi Arabia…done….well now they want us out of Iraq…don’t worry in a year or two we will be gone…they want a Palestinian state….wait a few years that may happen. Then what? Gee, maybe the world will begin to see that it is not grievances committed against Islam, but rather that the militant wing of Islam wants to subdue the entire world. In the process, killing off ALL the Jews and a good many Americans. And our Liberal Left calls Bush Hitler…….

There demands reminded me of the demands PFJ in Monty Python’s Life of Brian:

FRANCIS: We’re gettin’ in through the underground heating system here, up through into the main audience chamber here, and Pilate’s wife’s bedroom is here. Having grabbed his wife, we inform Pilate that she is in our custody and forthwith issue our demands. Any questions?

COMMANDO XERXES: What exactly are the demands?

REG: We’re giving Pilate two days to dismantle the entire apparatus of the Roman Imperialist State, and if he doesn’t agree immediately, we execute her.

MATTHIAS: Cut her head off?

FRANCIS: Cut all her bits off. Send ‘em back on the hour every hour. Show them we’re not to be trifled with.

REG: And of course, we point out that they bear full responsibility when we chop her up, and that we shall not submit to blackmail!

COMMANDOS: No blackmail!

And about their plans for world supremacy:

REG: Right. Now, uh, item four: attainment of world supremacy within the next five years. Uh, Francis, you’ve been doing some work on this.

FRANCIS: Yeah. Thank you, Reg. Well, quite frankly, siblings, I think five years is optimistic, unless we can smash the Roman empire within the next twelve months.

REG: Twelve months?

FRANCIS: Yeah, twelve months. And, let’s face it. As empires go, this is the big one, so we’ve got to get up off our arses and stop just talking about it!

COMMANDOS: Hear! Hear!

Wow, Amnesty International is off its rocker! Via Michelle Malkin here is a great post by Captain’s Quarters covering how Amnesty has called for the open abduction of U.S. leaders when they visit foreign countries.

Can you imagine if that happened? The problem, or potential problem, will be once President Bush leaves office. Lets say he goes over seas and some country arrests him….what will the sitting President do? What if the next President is a Democrat? All that I can say is that our country had damn well better threaten to carpet bomb the country unless our former President is released.
