I am writing this post before we actually know who is responsible for the London bombings. There are three possibilities: IRA radicals, Anarchists or Al-Qaeda/Muslim extremists.
My bet: Al-Qaeda/Muslim extremists.
I could be wrong and if I am, I will say so, but something tells me that I am right.
Brace yourselves for the inevitable cry for restraint and tolerance. After all Islam is a religion of peace…although they are the only ones blowing things up lately. Those things being innocent men, women and children. Funny, I do not recall hearing of Baptists or Methodists blowing up busses or subways. I wonder why that is. But like I said, brace yourself for the drivel that will be directed at those who dare question the peacefulness of Islam. Just ask Van Gogh, the Dutch film director who was killed for daring to question Islam. How’s this for an advertising campaign: Convert to Islam. Our religion is a peaceful religion. If you don’t convert or if you question our peacefulness we will kill you.
Oh yeah, sign me up.
Then there will those that say that not all Muslims are murdering bastards. And they will be right. I am sure that the vast majority of practicing Muslims are peaceful, family type people who would never dream of inciting violence or in killing innocent people. But where are these people? I want every news outlet in the world to have Muslims lined up outside the doors of the station begging to be put on the air to denounce the perversion of their faith that are the extremists.
A nice analogy is to relate a religion, any religion to a family. The mainstream, established branch of a religion can be likened to the mother and father. The kids are the various offshoots of the main branch. Sometimes those kids get unruly and need to be brought back into the mainstream fold. As a parent of three small children I know that my kids will not be perfect. They will misbehave and act out. If I fail to do anything about their actions, then I have set a dangerous president that will potentially lead to a lifetime of heartache. When I see other parents, I judge them not on the behavior of their children, but rather on how they, the parents, respond to the children. If their kid kicks someone, I will not judge the kid but rather the parent’s response to it. If their response is to say that they have lots of kids and they can not be responsible for the actions of them all, then I blame the parents. But if the parents grab a wooden spoon and spank the unruly child or if they give a good verbal dressing down or if they ground the child, then I will respect the parents and appreciate the work they are trying to do.
Mainstream, peaceful Muslims: I am watching to see how you respond to the militant, perverted branch of your religion. You want my respect? You want Westerners to stop painting all Muslims with the same brush? Stand up now and with a loud powerful voice denounce the killing. If you do not do this, then the world will be forced to judge that you agree with the killers.

At approx 08:50 on 7.7.05 we were called to Aldgate LT stn to assist the City of London police and BTP regarding an incident on the underground system.
All of the emergency services are on scene.
This has been declared as a major incident.

al Qaida claims London explosions
The heroic mujahidin have carried out a blessed raid in London. Britain is now burning with fear, terror and panic in its northern, southern, eastern, and western quarters.
What are they thinking?… Are they promised heaven is waiting for them for doing this? Al Qaeda is the most cowardly sick group of individuals! Killing innocent people without even a warning! Is this suppose to be apart of their religion?… I just don’t understand! They might need to sit down and have a little talk with Jesus! Destruction and havoc is a Godly thing to these people????
A Possible Second Motive?
While I have no doubt that the attack in London was done out of hate for that society by al Qaeda and similar elements, there may have been a secondary objective.
These murderers are really going to be disappointed at what their “virgins” are like in hell.

I agree 100%. If Islam is a religion of peace, then why is this happening? And why aren’t the so called “peaceful” Muslims doing something about their crazy brethren?

The fact that you ask the question why you do not hear about Methodist or Baptist terrorists shows your lack of knowledge about religious fundamentalism. In America they have a long standing problem with Christian fundamentalists killing doctors who perform abortions and blowing up abortion clinincs, for example. Also, remember that underground chemical weapon attack in Tokyo some years back - that was carried out by Buddhist extremists! All religions can be perverted to justify violence as can any set of beliefs, moral and political. There is nothing, nothing, about Islam that makes it a violent religion. Those who kill in the name of Islam are not Muslims.
Unfortunately, as we watched the twin towers fall again and again on our screens I reached the horrible conclusion that Bush, or whoever is actually controlling this empty headed cowboy, had either knowingly allowed terrorists to carry out their dreams or had deliberately organized or encouraged this madness.
In my mind and the mind of Ken Livingston (Mayor of London), the senseless bombing of London is an act of deliberate mass murder.
This is mass murder that I believe was carefully organized by agents, paid assassins or even military personnel who are in the pay of what I call the Bush-Blair project.
It no longer maters to me if Blair is aware of the insane plans and intentions of the current American administration. What is certain is that in the so called west, we have lost sight of democracy.
The Bush-Blair project must be stopped because they are guilty of mass murder. We will not forget that they sent troops to murder the people of Iraq. There were no weapons of mass destruction.
