I think the Dutch went through a similar reckoning after Van Gogh was killed. You sit back and scratch your head asking how did this happen? After all, you pass laws protecting Muslims, your police force goes to ridiculous ends to avoid even the appearance of profiling, you allow mosques that openly preach hatred and violence to sty open, you allow controversial figures into your country to attend conferences and for all this wonderful tolerance you get your ass kicked by suicide bombers. But didn’t they bend over and take it when it came to all things Muslim? Yeah, but guess what? It does not matter.

Militant Islam hates the West. There are no friggin’ root causes of terrorism. That is a post modern myth. These people do not want freedom from foreign intervention. They do not want greater understanding and tolerance. They want a total theocratic world that is based in large part on 5th century customs. If you want to convert, great. If not, they will kill you. And guess what? Their god tells them it is not only ok for them to do this, but that it is the duty of all Muslims to fight the infidels.

The sooner the world realizes that these militant whack jobs have perverted a religion and are hell bent on world domination, the sooner we can grow a pair and fight them everywhere they can be found.

Per my earlier post, I am still waiting for the “moderate” Muslim community to stand up and denounce these attacks.
