Rob over at File it Under has a post today showing that the Arab countries are condemning the attacks in London. He even points to a statement by Hamas that condemns the attacks. This is encouraging news.

Like him, my first post on this topic came shortly after finding out about the bombings. When you read it, you can tell how pissed I was about it all. My main point was that usually mainstream Islam is silent about such attacks. You get a few shrugs and “what did you expect”, but no real condemnation. Now however, my point may not pan out on this one. It is encouraging to see the outpouring of condemnation. I wonder if it is true or done out of fear? Either way, it is a start.

I do not retract anything from my post yesterday, but I have calmed down enough to see that maybe this time will be different. Lets hope so.

Yesterday, I was driving down the street in Houston. There is a mosque that went up not too long ago near my house. I see this muslem dude in his van waiting at the stop sign with the most elated look on his face!… I don’t know for sure WHY? this guy was so elated? BUT…I can guess!… I like to think the best of people! Almost to a fault!! BUT…I just got a really creepy feeling!… I honestly think these individuals are following Mohamad who was a warrior, so that is what they seem to be about!… I am not trying to convert them! Although Jesus has some great advise!…If you ask me? But no one ever asks me! Dad Gum It!

    Zsa Zsa,

    I totally understand your feelings.

WunderWife and I had a long talk about all this last night. The basic gist being the nagging suspicion that there are dormant cells here in the U.S. which are just waiting for a signal. She brought up that the same messages of hate and violence are being preached at mosques here right? If so, why are the Muslims here not lighting themselves up?

Good question, but I worry that the answer is to wait and you will see…I go from being optimistic to being a total pessimist.

Wunderkraut and Wunderwife, … I am so puzzled by these Muslim people and there religion???? What makes it OK to kill ? Why do they hate us so much?? Where does it say they are supposed to kill us! When will enough killing be enough? How do they come up with such BS? Silly me! I just don’t get it?

Yeah, I know what you mean. I can’t think of any other religion that teaches violence. Isnt that usually a hallmark of most religions?
