My step dad asked me about a few things in the news and wondered if I was blogging about them. The short answer is: no. There are just some things that do not interest me. Not that they are not important or not that others should blog about them, but I just can not get jazzed up about them.
How do I choose what to blog about? I dunno. It depends on how a certain story hits me. Sometimes I will be drive to and from work listening to NPR and some egregious story will come on that almost makes me run off the road. Those days I can not type fast enough. Then I will read other blogs and see what they are covering. I follow the stories but they just do not interest me sometimes. Other times a particular blogger *cough* Ace of Spades *cough* will have the best post ever written on a certain topic. It is pointless for me to then write about the same topic. After all, everything I would be saying would just be a regurgitation of the other bloggers post. Although not as well written. In other words, sometimes other people are coving things so well that I do not feel the need to weigh in, other times I do not care about the topic and still other times the topic will hit me right in the face and I will type for an hour.
That being said, below is a list of topics that I will not be blogging about. Each one is very important, but I just do not feel the need to cover them:
Cindy Sheehan – the lady has obviously gone off the deep end. Ace of Spades has some great stuff on her here and here. Michelle Malkin has great stuff here and here. The Jawa Report has great stuff here and here.
Able Danger – We all know that mistakes were made and that the Clinton administration DID NOT DO much to protect us. But others are covering it. See Michelle Malkin here and Ace here.
The Air America scandal – This is a true scandal but the MSM has been slow to pick it up. The New York Times finally got around to saying something about it. But it was lacking. The main reason I am not covering this is because I am so incredibly pissed at the blatant hypocrisy of the Left. Just imagine, just imagine if this same story were happening but instead of the Liberal Air America it were Rush or Hanity or Foxnews or the Washington Times. My God we would never hear the end of it. How Conservatives hate the poor, children and the elderly. It would be 24/7 until the show was cancelled. But when it is a Liberal network….crickets chirping. Makes me so angry that I can not even type without going into uncontrollable fits. For my health and the sanity of my co-workers and family, I will not write about it. But guess what? Many others are writing. About it. Yet once again, check out Michelle Malkin.
Judge Roberts – actually I have written one post on him. But other than that, I am leaving him alone. I think he will be a great Justice and he should be confirmed. What I am not looking forward to is the MSM and the Senate Democrats continual character assassination of the man. See point above about uncontrollable fits.
The price of oil – It sucks, but until we get some supplies of our own and build some new refineries, there is not much we can do. By the way, why haven’t we built any new refineries in the last 20 years? Oh yeah, now I remember, environmental laws that make it almost impossible to build new ones. Thanks guys.
And lastly, I WILL NOT BE covering Nipple Gate 2005. No, Ace has that one wrapped up.
Maybe sometime this week something that interests me will come up so I can have something to write about. Until then…you may be left with work related postings!!!!
MMMWWWHAHAHAHAH!
