Yeah, it is a slow day. In fact, it has been a slow week.

Bloggers block can be a real pain in the butt.

Until we send all our adoption stuff to China, everything seems like it is on hold in my life. That seems to be spilling over into work and blogging as well. Lately I have had the overwhelming urge to do nothing. I know it is all related to the adoption currently being held up. (For background on the adoption see here and here.)

Why is it held up? Well, the company I did some design work for has not paid me yet. I did the work back in June and I submitted my invoice the middle of July. Still nothing. The funding for the project is tied into the bidding of the project. As a result, the company has not been paid for their work and in turn they have not been able to pay me for my work. I totally understand, but it still sucks. All our paper work is ready to go to China, but we can not send it until I get paid because that money is needed to pay the adoption fees. Such is life. But it does seem to be affecting me.

I know that once I get paid and our dossier goes to China, I will feel like a giant weight has been lifted from my shoulders. Waiting on go sucks. I know that once we submit to China we will be waiting again, but that is fine. It will be waiting that is not due to money that is owed me. That make sense?

Good news though. We are having our yard sale next Saturday to raise money for the second half of the adoption. We also got our first corporate donation. We are 10% there now!!!!!!! Also, I have strong leads on two more side jobs. If they pan out, it should put us at 60% of what we need. Keep it coming God, keep it coming.

Anyway, I just do not have much to write about. Sorry guys. I will try to do better.
