I hate environmentalists. I really do. I love the environment and I enjoy the beauty of nature, but come on guys… we need some common sense with regards to our labyrinth of environmental laws and regulations.

The Washington Times is reporting that a Federal court in California (shock) has ruled that even for small, routine things the Forest Service must

add a 105-day notice, comment and appeal period to the decision-making process.

So what projects are no longer exempt? Large scale logging? Strip mining? Nope:

hundreds of projects nationwide for fire prevention on tens of thousands of acres; nearly 100 guide permits for hunting, fishing, horseback riding and fishing; 150 wildlife habitat projects; 165 permits to maintain camp grounds and trails; 15 ski area projects that may shut down the upcoming ski season in some areas; and 40 permits for family reunions and Boy Scout and Girl Scout activities.

Environmentalist wackos suck. They really do. I am beginning to think that they want nothing more than the destruction of the entire human race. Then the precious trees and fluffy animals will be safe from us evil humans who seek to, let me get this straight, “maintain camp grounds and trails.” Man we are evil I tell you, evil.

But wait, it gets worse:

Under the new requirement of public notices, comment periods and appeals, the tree selected from a New Mexico forest for this year’s Christmas display on the Capitol lawn would arrive around Valentine’s Day.

The bastards! Look, you can mess with my camping and fishing but you damn well better keep your heathen enviro hands off Christmas.

On a more serious note, if the areas that were supposed to be cleared/maintained to prevent forest fires actually catch fire and burn and someone dies…..the blood will be on the environmentalists hands. But that is fine with them. After all, they agree with the animal rights activists that humans are a plague.

Wait a second…that reminds me of a movie quote. Sure sounds about right.
