Ah Fall… the leaves are dropping, the acorns are dropping and deer are running amuck….
It must be time to go hunting. Yours truly hopes to get out this weekend or next with the hopes of dropping a deer with my little 25-06. I have shot a few deer in my life, but I have never had to kill one like this:
This has got to be good reading…
BENTONVILLE, Ark. – For 40 exhausting minutes, Wayne Goldsberry battled a buck with his bare hands in his daughter’s bedroom.
Goldsberry finally subdued the five-point whitetail deer that crashed through a bedroom window at his daughter’s home Friday. When it was over, blood splattered the walls and the deer lay on the bedroom floor, its neck broken.
That is awesome! Can you imagine going into work the next day and chatting with your buds when you causally ask if anyone had shot a deer this year. You could then sit and listen to a few stories before you tell your story: “Yeah, that’s great Jim Bob. But if you were a real man, you would have used your bare hands, like me.”
After returning to the bedroom, the fight continued. Goldsberry finally was able to grip the animal and twist its neck, killing it.
“He was trying to get up a corner wall and I just came in behind him and grabbed him by the horns and just started pushing down,” said Goldsberry.
Goldsberry, sore from the struggle, dragged the dead animal out of the house.
I tip my hat to you, fine sir. I believe I would have shut the door, called the police and let them deal with it. But jumping in and subduing it with your bare hands and then breaking its neck…..that is so incredibly cool.
Wow. I hope my hunting will be much more relaxed.

Whoa! Had me going there for a minute. When I first started reading the story I thought he was fighting his daughter’s boyfriend…
