Update: Well damn Cullen. Just wreck it all for me :-) Actually, knowing it is real makes it even cooler.

The coolest Christmas light display EVER!!!!!

I am guessing it is a huge animated .gif or something like that. Someone prove me wrong, but I doubt it is a real synchronized light display.

Still pretty cool though.

Been around the block a few times.

It’s real. The guy who did it is a lighting engineer for rock concerts and all the lights are synched through a computer.

The music is “Wizards in Winter” by the Trans-Siberian Orchestra off of their Lost Christmas Eve album.

But it is super cool. :)

A co-worker sent that to us last week. First time I had seen it. Awesome.

    The Hayden Planetarium Presents: Laser-Christmas!

The most outlandish home Christmas lighting yet. Disclosure: Ummm, I’ve seen this thing a dozen times, but I’m finally posting it, because WonderKraut asked me too, and he’s probably German. I don’t support apeasement per se, but I also don’t…

Oh this is too funny. I got it by email and passed it on but didn’t blog it. I had never heard of “Trans-Siberian Orchestra” before, but heard them on the radio today, different piece. I’ve got to track down that CD! It rocks!

So just now, the guy who originally sent me the link to the video sends me this.

Okay, so the rumor about him being a lighting technician, not true. Great to find out the full truth behind the story.

P.S. Ken, for more info on TSO, visit their site, or shoot me an e-mail.

AND, for anyone who’s a fan of heavy-metal and progressive rock, TSO is the holiday formation of the progressive-metal band Savatage.

The story of the video is at http://www.wonderlandchristmas.com. It’s real, all right. Snopes has the scoop, too.

And if you’re one of those evil torrent people I know nothing about, you can *probably* find The Lost Christmas Eve (the CD that Wizard of Winter is on) in a torrent search. Just guessing, of course.

The piece I heard on the radio today was called “Mad Russian’s Christmas”, it’s on a different album. Pretty cool to find out it’s a heavy metal band that does this (I’m not a metal fan, but I find things like that pretty cool – much like I found Iced Earth pretty cool).

And sadly (or perhaps fortunately), I have absolutely no idea what a “torrent person” is.

Again, Ken, shoot me a note.

Not that I have any idea what a +0rr3n+ person is either.

    *cough*

My, my, my….this is turning into quite the hotbed of … oh never mind…

I to know nothing about this orrent-tay you speak of…
