There was a shooting in Toronto, Canada the day after Christmas. One teenage girl was killed and 6 others were wounded. All those shot were innocent bystanders. That sucks and I feel bad for the victims and their families.
But.
Come off it Canada. No really. What the hell is your problem?
If you were not on our northern border, I would swear you were over in Europe somewhere. Hey, maybe that is the deal with your low self esteem. I mean, you try and try to be just like Europe with your socialized medicine, socialist policies and crazy labor laws, but Europe just laughs at you. You are just Americas 51st state right? Yeah, you guys kind of get overlooked. Sorry about that, but deal with it and stop blaming us for your problems.
Maybe you do belong in Europe. Listen to this PC-multicultural-diversity-if we only could understand dribble:
Miller said the availability of stolen Canadian guns is another problem, and that poverty in certain Toronto neighborhoods is a root cause.
“There are neighborhoods in Toronto where young people face barriers of poverty, discrimination and don’t have real hope and opportunity. The kind of programs that we once took for granted in Canada that would reach out to young people have systematically disappeared over the past decade and I think that gun violence is a symptom of a much bigger problem,” Miller said.
Hmmm….I wonder what neighborhoods he is speaking of? Could they be that these neighborhoods are not filled with native Canadians?
Anyway, they are pissed at the U.S. because they say too many guns are being smuggled across the border. And that is our problem how? Why not pass tougher gun laws…that will show them…that will stop gun crimes….
Well, no…
The escalating violence prompted the prime minister to announce earlier this month that if re-elected on January 23, his government would ban handguns. With severe restrictions already in place against handgun ownership, many criticized the announcement as politics.

Two suspects were arrested and at least one firearm was seized soon after the shootings Monday. Kyriacou said it was an illegal handgun.
Hey wait a minute. You mean to tell me that Canada has “severe restrictions” on handgun ownership? So an outright ban would not really change much AND the gun used in this crime as in most crimes was obtained illegally?
I.Am.Shocked!
But I thought gun bans kept guns out of criminal’s hands….
No, no, no, no, no…
If you ban guns, then the people who want guns for protection, you know, law abiding citizens, will become criminals by buying guns for said protection.
But this does not affect real criminals. Why?
When was the last time you saw a criminal in line to properly fill out his paper work for his handgun registration?
My point exactly. Criminals are, um, how should I put this, oh yeah, they are CRIMINALS! So, if you ban guns, they will still get them and use them.
Yeah, but it would make it harder for them to do so.
Oh really? We have laws banning illegal immigration, illegal drug use and sales, armed robbery, murder, etc but has that made it more difficult for criminals to do any of those things? Nope.
The best smack down came from a Canadian based think-tank:
John Thompson, a security analyst with the Toronto-based Mackenzie Institute, says the number of guns smuggled from the United States is a problem, but that Canada has a gang problem — not a gun problem – and that Canada should stop pointing the finger at the United States.
Ah…it is all coming into focus now. I really want to know what types of neighborhoods they were speaking of where these “youths” are coming from. I would bet money that they are from the recent immigrant population. Just a guess.
Anyway, shut up Canada. Life is hard and stuff isn’t it? We have VAST amounts of illegal drugs and immigrants coming across our southern border. So you have a little bit of a gun problem, boo-hoo.
Stop blaming the U.S.
