Hamas has won the Palestinian elections…great, just great.

So I guess the Palestinians really do not want peace.

How do I know that? Well, Hamas fails to recognize Israel as a state and they call for the destruction of Israel. Nice guys huh?

Make sure to notice how many times CNN and the rest of the MSM point out all the hospitals and schools that Hamas builds each year. That whole “calling for the destruction of Israel” thing may be mentioned, but only in passing to praise Hamas to the skies for building hospitals and schools.

Hamas has called for the destruction of Israel and carried out numerous terrorists attacks that have killed scores of Israelis over the years.

Only “killed scores of Israelis”? It took me 10 seconds to Google “Hamas terrorist attacks against Israel history” which gave me this USAToday link showing the timeline of Hamas’ history. Just from the attacks listed, Hamas has killed 241 people. That would be 12 score. Actually, once you get to 200, shouldn’t you use hundreds? Ah, but that would make you think they are the bad guys. The USAToday is no bastion of Neo-Conservatism and their list only includes the main events. That would mean that more than 241 people have been killed by Hamas.

Hamas “has called for the destruction of Israel”? “Has called”? Here is what their leader said after the election:

Zahar, the head of Hamas, earlier in the day left open the possibility of forming a coalition with Fatah, as well as the possibility of future negotiations with Israel, under certain conditions

Asked if Hamas would ever recognize Israel, Zahar replied: “Never.”

Hmmm….ok. So these guys are so militant that they will not even recognize a county’s right to exist? And just where would Zahar put all those pesky JOOOOOS when Hamas “create[s] an Islamic state from the Jordan River to the Mediterranean Sea, including Israel”? Something tells me that they will not be living side by side with them. Don’t believe me? Look at the rest of the Arab world. Are there ANY Jews living in any of the Arab countries? No? I wonder why that is?

Still think Hamas is a benevolent organization who builds houses, hospitals and schools and only occasionally attacks the Zionist occupiers? I mean, don’t they have a right to fight the occupiers. They just want a state of their own. Yeah, they sure do want a state of their own.

Just take a look:

Zahar went on to explain Hamas would not stop its attacks until all of Israel is destroyed:

“Neither the liberation of the Gaza Strip, nor the liberation of the West Bank or even Jerusalem will suffice us. Hamas will pursue the armed struggle until the liberation of all our lands. We don’t recognize the state of Israel or its right to hold onto one inch of Palestine. Palestine is an Islamic land belonging to all the Muslims.”

And this is who Israel and the U.S. will be damned to bloody hell for refusing to negotiate with.

With Hamas in control, peace is a pipe dream.
