Sorry for the absence.
My wife and I, along with WunderKid 3, headed on down to the Redneck Riviera (aka Panama City Beach, Florida).
We suckered my mom into keeping the two boys for the weekend, but our sucker…err…babysitter for the baby fell through. So off we went.
It was cold. And VERY windy Saturday. I tried to walk along the beach, but the winds were gusting to 30 mph. I felt like one of those hurricane chasers. Wouldn’t you know that today was dead calm and sunny? Go figure.
All in all, we had a good time. We will get an honest to goodness break come the first weekend in March. We have sitters lined up and we are off to Brunswick for a marriage seminar. No, our marriage is fine, but it will be good to hear about areas where we can improve.
Here are the pictures:
WunderKid 3 with me. Please ignore the five o’clock shadow and four chins. The girl on the right is pretty cute though.
WunderKid 3. Her first steps on a beach. She was not very impressed. Though I do call her my mini-me.
Our view. Admit it. Even though it is in the dead of winter…you still envy me…don’t you?

The only thing I envy is the time off. But I hate the beach. I’m scared of the ocean, think palm trees are ugly, and that much loose sand in one place is just irritating.
But I do hope y’all had fun!
Strange that I never got down there in three years of living in Tallahassee. I did meet a girl from Panama City, though…but I won’t go any further details about that as I understand this is at most a PG-13 kind of blog.
