It finally got to me and I snapped.

We have two boxwood hedges in front of our house. One is reasonably sized and I have been able to keep it trimmed half way decently.

The other one….

Well, it was large and unwieldy 5 years ago when we first moved into this house. Every summer I would curse it when mowing. Every time I would pull into the driveway, I would see that hedge, that one untrimmed hedge.

Oh sure, there were days when I planned to trim it, but something always came up or it was too hot or I was just lazy.

Today? I sent many a fine bush trimming to pruning hell!

Ah, I feel so much better now.

Now I just need to get a few bales of pine straw. It may take a year or so to fill in all the bare spots, but it looks a million times better.

Hey, at least I spared its life. Unlike last time I took the pruning shears to a bush…
