The meeting went very well.
He expressed his utter frustration.
I explained how things will be different and appologized for past mistakes.
He seemed agreeable to moving forward.
I assured him that our service to him will improve.
All in all, it was a good meeting. Time will tell if we accomplished anything. Recent history has shown that even after other “good meetings”, he was still upset.
I think we were able to move beyond the old issues. In fact I asked that we not bring them up again. That after today, we would have a clean slate. After all, what happened, happened…it is what it is and there is nothing I can do to fix any of it.
BUT…
We can improve and meet his expectations from today on.
I’m tired and heading home. It is WunderKid1’s 7th birthday today and we are going swimming and having cupcakes!
I feel old.

Hey! I didn’t realize WK1 and G’s birthday’s were so close. My boy G turns 2 Sunday. We’re doing Chuck E. Cheese on Monday at 4:30. Not an “official” CEC birthday party, but we’re going to be there and are letting friends and folks know that that’s when we’re going to be there.
You guys stop by if you get the chance. I’d love to see you guys again before we hit the road.
I can’t believe your boy is 2…man, we have been terrible neighbors…we live like a mile from each other and I have only run into you once at the mall.
We do the unofficial CEC birthday as well. Much easier. We tell the grandparents when and we buy a pizza for the kids and some tokens. They usually get some birthday overlap from other kids.
As for Monday, it’ll depend on work, but we may swing by.
Oh, by the way, your wife knows Nancy from my work and she should know that she is still in the hospital in the ICU.

Also, I’m glad the meeting went well. Hoping that with a new personality in the mix, things really will be different in the future.
