We interviewed two people last week for one of our open positions. The girl we picked has a master’s degree and is actually overqualified. But, she knows her stuff.
Now to see if we can afford her.
I hope we can because we need that position filled.
In other news, I will have a large announcement next Monday.
Work has been crazy and family life has been hectic. WunderWife and I attended a church conference over in Dothan, AL on Sunday and Monday. We were unable to stay the entire time because the two oldest kids started school today. Great teachings and great fellowship.
Yes, school started today. WunderKid1 is in 1st grade and WunderKid2 is starting Kindergarten. I feel so old. Also, what’s the deal with starting school so early? What ever happened to starting after Labor Day?
It is hot, hot, hot here. Here is the forecast for the next few days:
Keep in mind that is the actual temperature. With our high humidity, it will feel 5 degrees hotter.
Due to the heat, the drought and grub worms, my back yard looks like a war zone. I once had the most beautiful stand of St. Augustine you have ever seen. Now…dead spots, dying spots and weeds. So sad.

At least you have cloud cover and a chance of showers. It’s a bit hotter here with a bit more humidity. And I’ve got drought, grub worms, and (because of said grub worms) moles. Count your blessings my friend.
Our poor air conditioner is working so hard … I really fear our first utility bill. I’m thinking that at some point in the future I may re-do our HVAC system and set up two pumps — one for upstairs and one for down. Everyone here has told me that it saves them tons on utilities that way. We’ll see, I guess.
Send some clouds and shower chances our way. It rained almost every day back in June. It got old but I’ll take that over hot, humid days in the high 90s all the time.
Plus I like not having to water the plants myself as much.
