We had a rather large thunderstorm roll through last night around 9pm. It was one of those storms where I unplug the computers and the internet so they don’t get zapped.

The TV on the other hand is expendable…after all, if it gets zapped, I get to go buy a flat screen…

Anyway, there was nothing on so I retired to the living room to read. After about 15 minutes I kept hearing my wife burst out in laughter. She came to get me and said she was watching some show with funny commercials. That sounded better than reading, so I joined her.

I don’t know why I like watching these shows. There are the inevitable repeats from last year, but they still make me laugh.

Here are my two favorites:

The squirrel saves the day.

An awkward mother/daughter moment.

Both made me laugh hard. It’s always good to laugh.

The train commercial was pretty neat as well.

UPDATE: The Brokeback Mountain one was great.

  1. “Squirrel saves the day”. What a load of nonsense, and leave it to the French to spread such disinformation.

    Squirrels are evil.

  2. But I have to admit, I am prompted to say “I fart in your general direction…”

    That’s a classic one.

I once saw a website that had the secret underworld of squirrels and their dance with death.

Apparently, they get points for the severity of the incident. Like, if the car swerves they get 10 points. If it overturns, catches on fire and everyone dies…they get to be the leader of the squirrel army.

I wish I could find that site.
