Former Pakistan Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto was assassinated today as a suicide bomber killed at least 14 of her supporters

    This breaks my heart. I knew it was coming, but even so, I hoped it would not happen. I am not naturally inclined to comment on politics… and so I don’t know quite what to say but that I grieve for her family and friends and pray for peace for Pakistanis all over the world. What a lovely woman, and what a terrible day.

    I’m with you Nina. I know very little about her apart from what I’ve read recently, but she showed lots of courage.

    I felt sad all day yesterday as well. Let’s hope some good comes out of the ashes of yesterday.
