The Zapper

I am a huge Futureama fan was always disappointed that FOX never gave the show a chance to develop. As a result, the show only lasted from 1999 to 2003.

Thankfully, the shows have been running on Comedy Central for the past few months.

After re-watching the series I have to say one of my favorite characters is Zapp Brannigan.



His Wikipedia entry sums him up best and lists some of his military “accomplishments”:

  1. Carpet bombing Eden 7
  2. Defeating the pacifists of the Gandhi nebula
  3. Conquering the Retiree People of the Assisted Living Nebula
  4. Single-handedly defeating the “weak and womanlike” Spiderians of Tarantulon 6
  5. Driving the native population off the planet Spheron 1

    My favorite Zapp ever has to be the Trek episode where they all have to testify in the Christopher Pike chair.

    Zapp - and then what happened?
    Leela - and then you started this stupid trial! Melllvar’s still after us!

    Still sad that Phil Hartman never got to do the voice as planned, though.
