One of the towns you pass through going from Albany to Cordele is the tiny town of Warwick.

Warwick is known for two things: speed traps and the National Grits Festival….yeah, I didn’t know it was “National”.

Hey if Vienna (pronounced with a long I sound) has the “Big Pig Jig” and Camilla has “Gnat Days”, I guess Warwick can have their “National Grits Festival”.

I guess.

I got one for you, Climax (hold the jokes, just on the town name) is “The Home of Swine Time”, Yup, every November we host the Swine Time Festival! Yes as in pigs. Our water tower says CLIMAX, Home of Swine Time. The logo is two kissing pigs!Joel had to have the kissing pigs removed from the Chief’s truck before he would drive it. So the local chief’s vehical said Climax Police (then the picture of two kissing pigs…)

Colquitt is the home of “swamp gravy.” I drove through Colquitt a bit when we lived down there. Never found out just was swamp gravy is.
