It’s watermelon season down here in South Georgia.

I had to go to Cordele to look at a job today. Cordele is only about 40 miles from here and is the “Watermelon Capital of the World”.

This time of year you see lots of melon busses, like this one:



It always cracks me up to see them traveling down the highway.

Another by product of watermelon season is that many melons bounce out of the melon busses and end up splattered all over the street…their bright green shells cracked and broken…their juicy red insides spilling out on to the pavement…
